In the lovely Museo del Ferrocarril, the second weekend of every month a nice, diverse bunch of farmers, bakers, artisans, food trucks, vintage clothes, furniture and object sellers, musicians, and cool invites, come together for the Mercado de Motores, a nice place to enjoy a different time in Delicias, in the usually unexplored south of Madrid a bit further away from the city center and all the tourists.
Every month they bring new guests and create new activities to make every edition special. We visited for the first time last month and we really enjoyed a nice time. Also, the location cannot be more amazing: the Museo del Ferrocarril. If you’re into trains (and even if you’re not) this place is paradise and during the whole weekend they offer free tours around the lovely pieces of well preserved history they keep!
If you have a dog, they’re not allowed inside but they have dogsitters at the entrance as well as lockers for your purchases while you are having a look around.
