This last week Madrid was all about art because while the biggest Spanish art fair, ARCO was in town there were a lot of alternative proposals. JustMAD was one of them and this year it was held in the absolutely gorgeous Architects College of Madrid (COAM).
JustMAD is one of the best emergent art exhibitions in Europe and in its seventh edition, its goal was to stay strong in supporting emergent galleries and alternative spaces in Spain and abroad, offering intellectual and aesthetic challenges that are also fun to attract new audiences and collectors with a common passion for art… and I think they really managed to make it happen. The beautiful spaces of the COAM were filled with galleries and editorials, but there was also experimental installations, tastings and games. It was the perfect way to spend a sunny (but cold!) Saturday afternoon in Madrid.
