A very close friend is visiting Granada and Alhambra very soon and so while preparing the minimap she will take with her I get to revisit the photos from the time I visited.
I loved everything about the Alhambra, even the 4 four hours I got to queue before dawn, very ill equipped for the 4C temperature. Yes, even that. I guess it’s because it made the experience a bit more epic… or maybe I’m a text-book masochist. Not sure.
In any case, one of the things I love the most was the light and how it managed to isolate you from the multitude surrounding you, because despite of what these photos tell you, while in Alhambra you’ll probably be surrounded by dozens of people. But if you focus, and let the light guide you to the unexplored details of the amazing wonder of those palaces and gardens, if you slow down and let beauty and time move you… your visit will be perfect.
